The pathway of strategic human rights litigation serves as a critical mechanism for accountability, particularly within the technology sector/digital platform. While outcomes may not always be ideal, the main goal isn't just to win cases; instead, it's to expose the judiciary to various violations made possible by technological advancements. The approach aims to achieve broader objectives beyond resolving immediate disputes on behalf of affected rights holders. Such goals include advocating for the enactment of legislation that incorporates a human rights-based framework into legal standards, as well as fostering cultural changes within companies through the integration of enhanced corporate social responsibility practices. This session is designed to facilitate a collaborative exchange, tips and tricks, lessons learned from the lost fights, and most importantly, the winning stories, focusing on strategic human rights litigation related to emerging technology cases.
